A self-taught painter has been drawing and painting since childhood. Daiva now uses a variety of techniques in her work - oil paints, acrylics, pastels, crayons, colored pencils, likes to paint different objects and in different styles, to experiment, because she says that otherwise it would be boring, and she is not afraid of new challenges.
The artist is currently obsessed with mysticism, the mysteries of man and the universe, and the afterlife. As the author says, we do not have all the answers. It is these unanswered questions that interest her. Whether the work is figurative or abstract, the viewer is left with the impression of fog, of a mysterious light penetrating through it, as if our eyes could deceive us. The artist often uses a palette of darker colours, as if to emphasise that in a sense we are in the dark ourselves, and that we can only perceive certain things very vaguely.
Most of the paintings created over the last few years have found their homes and have travelled not only to various Lithuanian cities, but also abroad (France, Germany, Holland).
2018-2020: Studied fashion design at Vilnius College of Design.
April 2022: Held the first solo exhibition in Vienna, Austria, at the private gallery "The Gallery Steiner".
July 2022: The painting "Tyla" was selected for the virtual gallery of the project "Art Without a Roof" by the Vilnius City Municipality and "JCDecaux Lithuania".

The painting depicts a tumultuous ocean scene under a stormy sky. Dark, swirling clouds loom overhead, suggesting an imminent storm or the aftermath of one. The sea itself is illustrated in vigorous strokes, predominantly in bleak shades of gray and black, enhancing the chaotic energy of the scene. Subtle hints of white and lighter gray introduce the frothy crests of the waves, which strike the surface in violent bursts. There are intricate reflective effects on the water, adding depth and a glint of light that seemingly pierces the overarching gloom. The horizon is barely discernible, blurring into the stormy sky which further intensifies the feeling of engulfment by the vast, uncontrolled natural elements. Throughout the composition, there's a palpable tension and dynamic movement, capturing the essence of ocean madness in a somber yet strikingly powerful way.
