These works are now represented in public venues, gallery spaces, and private collections. In recent years, Filipauskytė’s canvases have drawn audiences into surreal, dreamlike worlds, where she merges aspects of botany, animals, and humanity into imaginative forms. Visitors to the gallery are encouraged to accompany her on this unique adventure, experiencing the magical blending of reality and fantasy that defines her latest creations.
About this artwork+
In the painting, a young woman is depicted against a soft, light blue background. Her face is gently turned towards a thin twig bearing small, delicate red flowers, which she is gently touching with her fingers. The woman's expression is serene, her eyes softly closed as if she is lost in the sweet fragrance or quiet thoughts invoked by her gentle interaction with nature. Her light brown hair is swept up, away from her face, loosely arranged at the back of her head, with stray wisps framing her face and a small flower tucked behind her ear, harmonizing with the blooms she admires. The artist uses soft, blended colors to create a feeling of calm and peacefulness. The focus on light and texture gives the painting an ethereal quality, highlighting the intimate moment between human and nature.
