Certificate of authenticity

Every painting you buy in our gallery is an original work of art. With every painting we sell you receive a certificate of authenticity, which guarantees that you are buying a work by that specific artist.

Please note that buying a painting does not transfer its copyright — you do not acquire the right to use the artwork commercially, for example to copy it or produce reproductions.

30-day return guarantee

Our main goal is to help you find the one artwork that truly fits and delights you — it is an object that will decorate your home for a long time and will eventually be passed on to future generations.

Although by law works of art cannot be returned (the seller's consent is required), don't worry — if you have doubts within 30 days of the purchase date, contact us: we will take the work back and refund your money, or offer you to choose another one from our art platform!

Delivery

Delivery time: 10–14 business days. Every artwork ships insured by courier (FedEx/DHL) with a tracking number. Originals are one-off pieces and are packed with particular care. If you need the piece sooner, contact us — we can usually find a solution. For deliveries outside the EU, import duties may apply; these are borne by the recipient.

Returns

As a consumer you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the goods — no reasons needed. Details and the model withdrawal form are in our withdrawal notice (linked in the footer). Beyond that, as a courtesy we accept returns up to 30 days after receipt — an artwork should truly delight you. Contact us and we will find a solution.

Audrius Arlauskas, a Lithuanian graphic artist born in 1983, began his formal education in art at the Kaunas Classical School of Arts, where he graduated in 2002. This initial training gave him vital artistic skills and knowledge, nurturing his enthusiasm for creative work.

He went on to study at the Kaunas Art Institute of Vilnius Art Academy, focusing on graphic design. By 2008, he had earned his master’s degree, which deepened his proficiency in visual arts and design. This academic experience served as a solid foundation for his broad range of artistic activities.

Audrius Arlauskas has been taking part in exhibitions since 2003, showcasing his art both in Lithuania and internationally. That year, he represented Lithuania at the “Network Baltic Workshop” at Grafikens Hus in Sweden. This opportunity allowed him to collaborate with fellow Baltic artists and expand his creative horizons.

His artistic pursuits include graphic design, photography, and animation. Audrius consistently experiments with novel methods and subjects, assembling a wide-ranging portfolio. His continuing work demonstrates both technical mastery and a continually developing artistic outlook.

About this artwork+

In the painting, a hauntingly sparse composition draws focus to a cluster of black-beetle-like insects scattered across a muted pinkish-purple background. Near the center, a roughly torn piece of white paper contrasts sharply with the darker figures surrounding it. At the edges, partial geometric shapes—a deep green vertical rectangle on the left and a smaller black horizontal rectangle on the top right—frame the scene, contributing a sense of confined space that further emphasizes the central subjects. The overall effect is both stark and subtly disturbing, inviting contemplation on themes of isolation and intrusion.
