Delivery
Delivery time: 10–14 business days. Every artwork ships insured by courier (FedEx/DHL) with a tracking number. Originals are one-off pieces and are packed with particular care. If you need the piece sooner, contact us — we can usually find a solution. For deliveries outside the EU, import duties may apply; these are borne by the recipient.
Returns
As a consumer you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the goods — no reasons needed. Arvydas Martinaitis, a Lithuanian artist, was born into a prominent family of creators. As the son of the celebrated artist Antanas Martinaitis and the grandson of acclaimed cartoonist Jonas Martinaitis, he is the inheritor of a rich artistic legacy. He frequently contemplates this inheritance, observing that his family’s creative aspirations are “encoded” within him. Nevertheless, despite the significant influence of his ancestors, Arvydas is resolved to forge his own way in the art world, dedicating himself to his personal vision and experiences.
The artwork of Arvydas Martinaitis is instantly identifiable. His paintings are distinguished by intense colours, layered textures, and energetic brushwork. Bursting with vitality and intricacy, his pieces often depict an array of subjects—plants, houses, people, and animals, both real and imaginary. This sense of richness mirrors the artist’s own optimistic and lively inner character, drawing viewers into an exploration and discovery across every canvas.
For Martinaitis, conveying the emotion of the present moment holds the greatest significance. The painting presents a vibrant and chaotic composition split into two panels. Both panels are lush with thick, bold strokes of paint; deep blues, fiery oranges, and bright yellows dominate, interspersed with blacks, purples, and greens. Textures seem almost tangible, evoking a sense of movement and spontaneity. On the left panel, abstract forms merge and overlap, creating a kind of frenzied depth. Certain shapes hint at elements of a cityscape or mechanical objects, but everything is distorted, as though seen in a dream or through moving water. The right panel continues this theme but with a slightly clearer form that might resemble a figure or a face surrounded by abstract shapes and colors that suggest some form of both floral and mechanical components.
