He is an active member of the Union of Lithuanian Folk Artists, participates in the art studio "Paletė," and belongs to the artists’ club "Plekšnė." His reputation in Lithuania’s artistic scene is further solidified by his recognition within the broader Union of Artists.
About this artwork+
In the painting "Forest River" by Anatolijus Ščiogolevas, a serene and somewhat mystical forest scene unfolds around a gentle river. The waterway reflects subtle hues and is bordered by rich, vibrant vegetation. Light permeates the scene, filtered through an array of autumn leaves in muted green, yellow, and hints of orange. This light appears to dance on the water’s surface and casts an ethereal glow that adds a soft luminosity to the forest. Trees, ranging from slender to robust, rise into the soft sky, some detailed sharply against the light while others fade into the background’s hazy atmosphere. The entire painting exudes a tranquil, almost otherworldly quality, inviting a viewer to pause and absorb the peaceful natural harmony depicted.
