A member of the Lithuanian Folk Artists’ Union since 2008, he has seen many of his pieces become part of private collections across several countries around the world.
About this artwork+
In the painting, a serene pastoral scene unfolds featuring two horses immersed in an idyllic landscape. The foreground is dominated by a large, light grey horse, depicted with its head turned elegantly to the left. Its calm expression and soft eyes convey a sense of peace and majesty. Slightly behind and to the side of the grey horse is a smaller, dark brown horse that appears young and vibrant. This darker horse is gazing towards the viewer with a look of curiosity and alertness. The horses stand amidst a lush meadow dotted with wildflowers, primarily shades of red and yellow, which pepper the greenery with bursts of color. The background hints at a hazy, overcast sky which infuses the scene with a soft, diffused light, enhancing the tranquility of the setting. The painter’s use of gentle brush strokes and harmonious colors captures a timeless, almost dreamlike quality, reflecting the natural grace and beauty of the horses.
