All artworks

Born in 1970, Ainura Batyrova is celebrated as both a folk artist and an educator. Her unwavering devotion to her art, along with her passion for teaching, demonstrates her commitment to sustaining and fostering traditional artistic practices. Despite maintaining a modest public presence, Batyrova’s impact is evident in her own creations as well as in the inspiration she offers to her students.

For Batyrova, art serves as a haven—a retreat from the pressures and challenges of daily existence. She believes that, while reality is important, it is within the sphere of art—and especially through the expressive quality of color—that she experiences genuine satisfaction. In her creative process, color holds a central and vital role.

Rather than articulating her emotions and ideas verbally, the artist prefers to express them through her illustrations. She concentrates on subjects such as everyday occurrences, still lifes, and landscapes. Through her careful and distinctive approach to these motifs, Batyrova encourages viewers to see and value the understated beauty present in their surroundings.

Employing delicate brushwork and a palette dominated by earthy shades, Batyrova succeeds in depicting transient moments with authentic realism. She adeptly maintains a connection to the tangible world, utilizing her chosen techniques to evoke both mood and feeling within her art. With restraint and subtlety, she invites viewers to engage with familiar scenes from a refreshed perspective.

About this artwork+

The painting exhibits a vibrant and dynamic composition, teeming with colors and forms that suggest a chaotic, yet harmonious natural world. At the center, a vivid portrayal of what appears to be a deer or a similar animal dominates the canvas, with intense, almost hallucinatory eyes that draw the viewer into its psyche. The creature's face is a collage of brilliant hues—oranges, blues, and greens—that merge and overlap with abstract shapes and patterns mimicking foliage, antlers, and other forest elements. The background of cool blues and contrasting warm tones enhances the surreal and dreamlike quality of the scene, weaving together elements of both the real and the imagined. Black splatters and drippy paint textures add a raw, organic feel, suggesting movement and the fluidity of nature. The entire composition pulsates with life, evoking a sense of wildness and the untamable aspects of the natural world.
