About this artwork+
This painting by Agnė Juškaitė, titled "Oak in the Fields," features a grand oak tree standing prominently in the center. The tree's thick trunk and spreading branches dominate the composition. Underneath it, stones and grass cluster, adding texture. The background shows a sweeping field of golden wheat that stretches to a distant horizon under a cloudy sky. Juškaitė's style here is detailed yet painterly. She uses textured brushstrokes to capture the rough bark of the oak and the soft, swaying wheat. The use of natural, earthy colors enhances the feeling of a serene, open landscape. The sky, filled with shades of blue and gray, adds a dynamic and slightly moody element to the tranquil scene.
